Dear Life is a short story collection — one of Alice Munro’s final books — gathering decisive moments hidden in ordinary lives. Munro, a Canadian writer awarded the Nobel Prize in Literature in 2013, was recognized for redefining the short story itself: she expanded its scale and psychological depth to rival the novel, revealing entire lifetimes through quiet, precise shifts rather than dramatic plot.
